Some people believe that cheap golf clubs are hard to find and will settle for sports that have more affordable equipment. The country club fees, vast courses, and well-dressed participants and spectators further add to the misconception that golf is a rich man’s sport and can keep people from playing it.
Buying cheap unbranded golf clubs is the logical choice of aspiring golfers on a tight budget, but cheaper is not always better. Unbranded clubs are likely made of inferior components and will not fare well against better-made branded equipment. Another solution is to acquire pre-owned branded golf clubs at a lower price, but obviously their quality may be affected by use.
Contrary to some people’s belief, not all high-quality golf clubs are expensive. Branded, unused but cheap golf clubs can be found if one knows where to look. Visiting discount stores is out of the question because it is like settling for unbranded or second-hand clubs.
